If you're a LEGO enthusiast, you also have an additional task on your to-do list: moving your prized LEGO collection safely and efficiently. This article provides practical tips to help you transition your LEGO bricks from one home to another without a hitch.

1. Inventory Your Collection:

Before you start packing, take an inventory of your collection. This step is vital for several reasons. It helps you estimate the amount of packing supplies you'll need, plan for the space required in your new home, and ensure that all your sets make it to their new destination.

2. Disassemble or Not:

Deciding whether to disassemble your LEGO builds is a personal choice and depends largely on the size and complexity of the models, as well as the distance you're moving.

If your collection mainly consists of small or sturdy sets, you might consider moving them without disassembly. However, for larger or fragile builds, disassembling them into manageable sections or completely breaking them down into their component bricks can help prevent damage.

• Ziplock Bags: For disassembled sets, consider packing bricks into ziplock bags. This method not only keeps all the parts of a set together but also prevents small pieces from getting lost. If you're breaking a set down completely, you might want to sort the bricks by color or type to simplify rebuilding.
• Bubble Wrap and Packing Paper: For assembled sets, wrap each one in bubble wrap or packing paper to provide a protective layer against scratches and minor impacts.
• Sturdy Boxes: Whether disassembled or not, each LEGO set should be packed into sturdy moving boxes. For added protection, line the boxes with bubble wrap or packing paper, ensuring there's no room for the sets to move around.
