Out of a staggering 375 submissions, Bricklink Designer Program has finally selected five finalists for its revitalized Series 1 competition. The voting phase, which commenced last March, was instrumental in narrowing down these contenders.
However, LEGO fans will have to exercise patience, as the pre-order phase for these five selected sets will not kick off until February 2024. The goal for each set is to accumulate at least 3000 pre-orders. Upon reaching this threshold, 20,000 copies of each successful set will be manufactured, with delivery planned for the third quarter of 2024. This extended timeline provides ample opportunity for the creators to refine their designs to meet LEGO's strict quality standards.
Here's a snapshot of the finalist projects:
"Mountain Fortress" by SleeplessNight (3986 pieces)
"Parisian Street" by NicolasCarlier (3465 pieces)
"The Old Train Engine Shed" by Mind_The_Brick (2298 pieces)
"The Snack Shack" by Skeletuhr (548 pieces)
"General Store - Wild West" by llucky (1848 pieces)
