SUMMARY:Mid Island Brick Fest
DESCRIPTION:MILUG's very own Mid Island Brick Fest is happening Saturday October 24\\, 2026! Every year this event grows as we add new elements\\, and we expect this year to be even bigger than last year's event. This free family event typically includes various collaborations among members including something Halloween themed and our extremely popular Literature Builds\\, in partnership with the Vancouver Island Regional Library. We will also have a large area of hands-on LEGO models where you can interact with the custom creations built by Adult LEGO Fans (AFOLs).As always\\, there will be a large exhibition of MOCs (my own creations) and MODs (modified sets). Once again\\, we will be inviting TFOLs to come out and display with us. We will also have a variety of activity stations such as LEGO stop-motion\\, LEGO photography\\, LEGO gaming\\, play brick\\, wacky races\\, LEGO books\\, a build contest\\, Minifigure Bingo\\, guessing games\\, and LEGO hide-and-seek.We will have some community partners in attendance as well\\, such as Nanaimo Science and First LEGO League\\, both featuring different aspects of LEGO robotics.This event is located in Country Club Centre in Nanaimo.
