Few adventures in comic history have captured imaginations quite like Tintin's Destination Moon, and soon fans will be able to build it brick by brick. LEGO® has officially greenlit production of the Tintin Space Rocket, designed by fan creator Tkel86, a 10K Club member whose dream project will now soar into reality next year.

A Legendary Voyage, Now in LEGO® Form
Tintin, the intrepid Belgian reporter created by Hergé, has traveled the world and even beyond since his first appearance in 1929. In Destination Moon, one of his most ambitious tales, Tintin joins Professor Calculus and Captain Haddock on a top-secret mission to the Moon. The story, published in 1953, stands out for its meticulous scientific research and imaginative design. Long before humanity ever set foot in space, Hergé imagined how it might look, complete with a sleek red-and-white checkered rocket that became one of the most recognizable spacecraft in pop culture.
Now that rocket is being reborn in plastic perfection; a tribute to a visionary moment in comic history.
A Build Worthy of an Explorer
Tkel86’s design beautifully captures the retro-futuristic style of Hergé’s original rocket and its detailed launch tower. The set includes 1,665 LEGO® elements in total, split between a 643-piece tower and a 1,022-piece rocket. Built at a slightly smaller scale than standard minifigures, it strikes the perfect balance between accuracy and displayability, fitting neatly on a desk or collector’s shelf.

For Fans of Tintin and Timeless Design
For readers who grew up flipping through the adventures of Tintin and Snowy, this is the perfect representation for what the bande dessinée is; it is a time capsule of imagination and discovery. Tkel86, a devoted Tintin fan, explained that their goal was to “represent, as best as possible, the launch tower and rocket from Destination Moon while keeping it practical and easy to display.”

LEGO® fans who appreciated the precision of sets such as the Saturn V or all the space rockets LEGO ever imagine, will find a similar craftsmanship here.
Countdown to Launch
The Tintin Space Rocket represents one of the most exciting collaborations between European culture and LEGO. The set is expected to hit shelves next year, allowing builders to bring a piece of Hergé’s visionary universe into their own orbit.
Until then, the countdown continues. Tintin and LEGO® are preparing for launch, and this time, everyone gets a seat on the rocket.
