The Garfield project by WetWired, a LEGO® Ideas 10K Club Member, has reached 10,000 votes and is now being evaluated by LEGO® for possible production. If approved, fans can expect more details around May-June 2026, marking a nostalgic return for one of pop culture’s laziest legends.

This isn’t Garfield’s first brush with LEGO® fame. A previous fan design by Packatrix had already drawn attention within the Ideas community, setting the stage for this more refined take. 

A Cat Born for the 80s

Garfield isn’t just a comic strip character; he’s a time capsule of sarcasm, lasagna, and cultural dominance. Now, LEGO® fans can relive that era in brick form. This 1,061-piece build recreates Garfield in full orange glory, standing 10 inches (25 cm) tall. He’s seen lounging with remote and pizza slice in hand, alongside his teddy bear Pookie, ready for another Monday he’ll surely hate.
