The LEGO® Group just made a big move in Asia Pacific. In partnership with Kuehne+Nagel, they’ve opened a new regional distribution centre (RDC) in Dong Nai, Vietnam. This isn’t just another warehouse. It’s a strategic play to shorten supply chains, speed up deliveries, and cut emissions. And yes, it means your next LEGO® set might arrive faster than ever.

Why Vietnam?
The new RDC is right next door to the LEGO® Manufacturing Vietnam factory in Ho Chi Minh City, which opened earlier this year. That proximity means less travel time for bricks, fewer delays, and a more responsive supply chain. For now, the centre will supply markets like Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and Japan. But by 2026, expect it to reach India, Indonesia, and beyond.

P. Venkatram, Vice President of APAC-China Supply Chain Operations at the LEGO® Group, put it simply: “This centre is about agility. It’s about getting LEGO® sets into the hands of kids faster, while keeping our operations lean and sustainable.”
What’s Inside the New Hub?
At opening, the facility covers 10,200 square meters. By 2026, it will expand to 16,360 square meters, handling over 150 containers per week and storing up to 33,000 pallets. That’s a lot of bricks. Kuehne+Nagel is managing everything from transport and customs to warehousing and last-mile delivery. They’re even using electric vehicles for final deliveries and sustainable marine fuel for global shipments.

Bjoern Traemann, Managing Director of Kuehne+Nagel Vietnam, highlighted the sustainability angle: “We’re not just moving boxes. We’re building a supply chain that’s fit for the future—one that’s efficient and kinder to the planet.”
Green Credentials
The Dong Nai RDC is LEED Gold-certified, meaning it meets high standards for energy efficiency and environmental impact. Solar panels and smart energy meters help reduce emissions, aligning with the LEGO® Group’s goal to make all its operations carbon neutral by 2032.

A Growing Network
This is the LEGO® Group’s fifth RDC worldwide and the second in Asia Pacific, joining another centre in Shanghai. It follows the opening of a similar hub in Tessenderlo, Belgium, last year. The partnership with Kuehne+Nagel is clearly working, and it’s easy to see why. Faster logistics, lower emissions, and happier builders? That’s a win for everyone.
So, what does this mean for you? If you’re in Asia Pacific, your next LEGO® set could arrive quicker than before. And if you’re anywhere else, keep an eye out. The LEGO® Group is clearly investing in making sure your bricks get to you faster, no matter where you are.
