LEGO® House Unveils 2024 Exclusive Set: LEGO® Building Systems. A Tribute to Three Iconic Systems

LEGO® House is rolling out its fifth exclusive set, and this year, it’s all about the foundation of LEGO® play. The LEGO® Building Systems set pays homage to the three core LEGO® systems: LEGO® System, LEGO® Technic, and LEGO® DUPLO®, each represented by a landmark model from LEGO® history.

"LEGO® House is the only place in the world where fans can experience the full story of the brick," says Kathrine Kirk Muff, CEO of LEGO® House. "Our exclusive sets let guests take home a piece of that history. This year’s set, LEGO® Building Systems, is a celebration of the systems that shaped LEGO® play as we know it."

A Journey Through LEGO® History

The set includes three iconic builds:

  • Town Plan No. 1 (1955): The first LEGO® System set, a cornerstone of the brand’s philosophy—"toys that prepare a child for life, sparking imagination and the joy of creation."
  • DUPLO Train (1980s): A nostalgic favorite, blending simplicity and creativity.
  • Technic Car Chassis (1977): The flagship of the first LEGO® Technic series, complete with working steering and moving pistons.

"Choosing these models was a labor of love," says Stuart Harris, Master Builder at LEGO® House. "Town Plan No. 1 has always been a personal favorite, and the DUPLO Train and Technic Chassis are classics that resonate with fans worldwide."

Nano-Builds and Personal Touches

Behind the three main models lies a gray display wall, mimicking the History Collection at LEGO® House. The wall features 19 nano-scale builds of LEGO® milestones, from The Wooden Duck to Bionicle Tahu. And there’s one empty spot—for you to add your own favorite LEGO® memory.
