First Impressions and Design Upgrades
The LEGO® Star Wars Ghost & Phantom II set is a long-awaited update to the beloved 2014 75053 The Ghost. This new version not only refines the original design but also includes the Phantom II, a modified Sheathipede-class shuttle that docks seamlessly with the Ghost. The set’s most striking improvement is the use of trans-black canopies, which give the ships a sleek, realistic look. However, the use of stickers on these pieces, rather than printed elements, is a slight letdown.

The Ghost features a modular build, making it easy to access and customize the interior. The cannons are well-designed, especially the bottom turret, which allows for both movement and "laser firing." The top cannon, however, is limited to vertical motion, missing the opportunity for a full 360-degree rotation.
Exterior and Interior Details
From above, the Ghost is a visual treat, with excellent color choices and 25 stickers that add intricate details. The underside, though, feels underwhelming due to its simplicity. A minor but noticeable flaw is the small gap at the front of the ship, which disrupts the otherwise clean lines.

Inside, the modular design shines. The cockpit is cleverly constructed, using an Inquisitor lightsaber hilt as the control stick—a fun Easter egg for fans. The cargo area includes subtle nods to the series, like a meiloorun fruit crate, but lacks the depth seen in the show, such as crew quarters.
The side ramps are functional but slightly out of scale, and the absence of the front boarding ramp—a key feature in the series—is puzzling. The rear of the ship feels incomplete without the Phantom II attached, though the engines are well-detailed, with interesting piece selections like the dark gray "parsley" element.
Phantom II: A Simple but Effective Addition
The Phantom II is a straightforward build, slightly oversized to accommodate a minifigure. Its connection to the Ghost via a Technic axle is secure but feels less refined than expected. The interior is minimal, with space for a minifigure and Chopper’s dome, but the front design is somewhat weak, likely for accessibility.

Minifigures: A Standout Feature
This set includes five exclusive minifigures, three of which are brand new:
- General Hera Syndulla: Impeccably detailed, with printed lekku, a dual-sided head, and accurate Rebel insignia.
- C1-10P (Chopper): The torso is well-printed, but the head lacks the detail of the 2014 version.
- Jacen Syndulla: Features a dark brown hairpiece (matching Ahsoka’s live-action design) and a dual-sided child face.
- Lieutenant Beyta: A Mon Calamari in a New Republic flight suit, adding diversity to the Star Wars minifigure lineup.
- Officer Hawkins: A new Rebel officer with a distinctive uniform and hairpiece.

Value for Money
With 1,394 pieces and five exclusive minifigures, the set is priced at:
- €159.99 | $172.00 | £130.00 | AUD 260.00 | DKK 1,190.00 | SEK 1,800.00 | PLN 720.00 | BRL 850.00
While the price is reasonable, adding two more minifigures would have made it a steal.
