A spectacular LEGO® heart, made from over 125,000 bricks, now stands at the entrance of LEGOLAND® Billund, marking the start of the world’s first LEGO® Festival. This 650-hour masterpiece isn’t just a model—it’s a celebration of play, creativity, and the joy of building together.
"We’re incredibly excited to welcome guests to the first LEGO Festival," says Joan Lykke Hansen, Director of Park Operations. "What better way to begin than with a giant LEGO heart, reminding us all of the magic that happens when families play together?"
A Festival Built for Play

The LEGO® heart, featuring Denmark’s Little Mermaid, the iconic LEGO® duck, and Hans Christian Andersen, is one of seven custom hearts built for LEGOLAND parks worldwide. Each heart is unique, but all share the same message: I <3 PLAY.
Five Zones, Endless Fun

From May 3 to June 8, the festival transforms the park into a playground of imagination with five themed zones:
- Music Zone: LEGO® Battle of the Bands show
- Dance Zone: Groove with DJ Good Vibes
- Creative Zone: Building challenges with master builders
- Chill Out Zone: Relax in a colorful LEGO® garden and meet Hopsy the rabbit in a LEGO® DUPLO® show
- Gaming Zone: LEGO® Fortnite® fans can build and meet Adventure Peely
A Global Celebration
The festival isn’t just in Billund—it’s happening in LEGOLAND parks across California, Germany, Florida, Korea, New York, and England. Together, the seven hearts took 4,500 hours and 900,000 bricks to create, all to inspire play, confidence, and learning before World Play Day on June 11.
