Broadway’s Hamilton Recreated as LEGO® Set

Broadway’s Hamilton Recreated as LEGO® Set

Broadway has always been larger than life, but now it’s about to get a little more brick-sized. A fan-made LEGO® Hamilton set has stormed the LEGO Ideas platform, snagging the magic 10,000 votes that push a project into official review. If the LEGO Review Board likes what they see, and if the Hamilton team signs off, this could become the first time Lin-Manuel Miranda’s revolution finds its way into your living room, piece by piece.

Building a Revolution, One Brick at a Time

Designer Marc, aka MadamGalacticRetox of Minibrick Productions, didn’t settle for half measures. The 2,000-piece design recreates David Korins’ iconic wooden scaffoldings from the Richard Rodgers Theatre. Front and center? The turntable that gave Hamilton its trademark dynamism. True to Broadway form, the LEGO stage spins via side handles, while movable stairs and a dramatic Act II staircase bring the drama in plastic form.

Minifigs Meet Minuets

The cast is here in tiny, molded glory. You get Alexander Hamilton, Aaron Burr, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, King George III, Hercules Mulligan, John Laurens, and of course, the Schuyler sisters: Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy. Each minifigure wears Act I outfits, ready to belt their way through “My Shot,” “Satisfied,” and “Non-Stop”, minus the actual singing. Props like Hamilton’s chest and golden mezzanine ropes round out the scene, while hidden storage beneath the stage keeps it all tidy.

A Theater Kid’s Dream, A Collector’s Prize

This isn’t just for the “Hamilfans” who still have the cast album on repeat. It’s also for collectors who know that LEGO Ideas is where fan dreams sometimes make it to shelves. Think Big Bang Theory. Think Seinfeld. Now think Founding Fathers spitting rhymes in LEGO minifig form. If approved, this set will go through safety tests, design refinement, and possibly a few lyric-rights conversations before it can ship.

Will It Be Enough?

The review kicks off in September. That means months of waiting to see if Hamilton becomes more than just another fan fantasy. The set has everything going for it: detail, playability, and a cultural juggernaut of a source. Still, until the green light shines, it’s a cliffhanger. Just like Act I.

Hamilton asked us, “Who lives, who dies, who tells your story?” The answer might just be LEGO®, one minifigure at a time.
