The return of the most unwanted helper! Yes, that little paperclip who once popped up mid-email to ruin your flow might soon be sitting quietly on your desk, in brick form.
The LEGO® Ideas project Clippy, designed by Piotr Gierwatowski, has officially hit the 10,000-vote milestone, meaning LEGO® is now reviewing it for a potential 2026 release.
If approved, you might finally get the version of Clippy that doesn’t interrupt your day, unless you count rearranging a few bricks as emotional damage.

From “It Looks Like You’re Writing a Letter” to “It Looks Like You’re Building One”
Longe before the modern AI agents, Clippy was Microsoft’s virtual assistant in Office 97–2003 (think Copilot but with equally annoying features). This was designed to help users write letters and format documents. Instead, he mostly made people question their life choices. His chirpy “It looks like you’re writing a letter” line became legend, and meme material long before memes were a thing. Now, with LEGO® giving him a second chance.

Tech Nostalgia, Reassembled
If the project passes review, expect LEGO® Clippy to join the pantheon of tech nostalgia builds, right beside the LEGO® 21327 Typewriter and LEGO® Ideas 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale. Gierwatowski’s version captures that familiar curve and smile in a compact, display-worthy design. No pop-ups, no reminders, just a friendly clip that sits quietly, reminding you that sometimes, the most annoying characters make the best comebacks and I think this will fit the best at your office desk!
