LEGO Star Wars has officially unveiled the final new set slated for release on September 1, 2023, fulfilling long-standing rumors and high expectations. It’s none other than the Republic Gunship, aptly dubbed the Coruscant Guard Gunship. The set, bearing the number 75354, marks the first playable Republic Gunship LEGO has launched in over a decade.
The Coruscant Guard Gunship draws inspiration from the ship’s rendition on the planet Coruscant, a scene familiar to fans of recent Star Wars series like The Mandalorian. Crafted in a red and white color scheme, the model measures over 15cm high, 37cm long, and 41cm wide.
Distinct from its predecessors, this version of the Gunship lacks ball guns on the sides and wings. Instead, the 1,083-piece set features large, closable doors on both sides of the ship, and incorporates studshooters on the wings for artillery. The design of the interior prioritizes compatibility with Minifigures, allowing room for all five that come included in the set.
Retailing for $139.99 / €149.99, the Coruscant Guard Gunship offers value in the form of lockable doors, functional shooting mechanisms, and an interior designed for Minifigures.
The ensemble of Minifigures includes a red-robed Chancellor Palpatine complete with a skirt, Clone Commander Fox also clad in red, and two Coruscant Shock Troopers. An exclusive variant of Padme Amidala is also part of the set, justifying the price point.
