LEGO Animal Crossing: A New Gaming-Inspired Theme

Riding the waves of its previous successes with videogame-themed sets like Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog, it is gearing up to introduce yet another gaming marvel. Come 1st March 2024, LEGO fans will welcome an exciting expansion – the LEGO Animal Crossing series, celebrating another partnership between LEGO and Nintendo.

The sustained rise in popularity of the Animal Crossing franchise, especially following the launch of the widely acclaimed ‘New Horizons’ on Nintendo Switch, hasn’t escaped LEGO’s notice. Resultantly, the toy giant is crafting an entire theme dedicated to this beloved social simulation game.

Scheduled for the upcoming release are five distinct Animal Crossing LEGO sets, which seem to cater to a variety of price points. The highest-priced among these, set 77050, offers 535 pieces at a price tag of $74.99. However, other sets such as 77046 and 77049 provide more economical piece-to-price ratios.

Interestingly, this new theme will differ from the LEGO Super Mario series by adopting a Minifigure-based design. According to sources like Brick Clicker, the Animal Crossing sets will feature characters with specially molded heads, tailored to fit the traditional Minifigure bodies. These sets are schedule to be release on 1st March 2024.
