The project, created by IsleOfHeather, features a detailed replica of the Banks family mansion in Bel-Air, California. The set includes 7 minifigures, including Will Smith as the Fresh Prince himself, his cousins Carlton, Hilary, and Ashley, his aunt and uncle Phil and Vivian, and their butler Geoffrey.
The project has already received over 3,000 supporters, but it needs 10,000 to be considered for production by Lego. If the project is successful, it would be the first Lego set based on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
“This Ideas submission was born from my love of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air and my wish to immortalize the show in LEGO form,” IsleOfHeather said. “In the 90s, this show was a cultural phenomenon and is today one of the most classic sitcoms of all time. I wanted to celebrate this show with this rendition of the Banks family Bel-Air mansion using approximately 2000 LEGO pieces!”
The project has been met with positive reactions from fans of the show, but I wonder how LEGO would react to the latest backlash of the Smith family and their reaction at the 2022’s Oscar event.
