Despite the recent setback for LEGO DC fans due to the cancellation of the 76221 Batmobile Flash Tracking, the brand reveals there’s a silver lining on the horizon.
This comes with the official announcement of a brand new LEGO DC Batmobile, set to hit the market in a couple of months. The anticipated set, numbered 76224, is a fresh take on the 1989 Batman version, and carries the intriguing title “Batmobile: Batman vs The Joker.”
While the 1989 Batmobile is no stranger to LEGO fans, having previously featured in the 76139 1989 Batmobile set, this new iteration is uniquely different. The 76139 model consisting of 3000 pieces, while the newly announced 76224 set is a much more accessible version with 438 pieces. Nevertheless, the new set still embraces the iconic features that made the 1989 Batmobile legendary: the sleek black bodywork and signature rear flame.
Furthermore, the 76224 set incorporates 1989 versions of both Batman and Joker mini-figures.
