The X-wing Starfighter, designed by the Incom Corporation and used by the Rebel Alliance, was first seen in Star Wars: A New Hope. Piloted by elite Rebel Alliance members like Luke Skywalker, the X-wings played a crucial role in the Battle of Yavin, where Luke, Biggs, and Porkins attempted to destroy the Empire’s Death Star.

In an unforgettable cinematic moment, Luke and Darth Vader face off in the Death Star trench, with Luke making a near-impossible shot to obliterate the Empire’s ultimate weapon.

Measuring over 55cm / 21.5″ long, the new LEGO Star Wars X-wing Starfighter set is an excellent addition to the Ultimate Collector Series, alongside the AT-AT™, Millennium Falcon™, Razor Crest™, and Luke Skywalker’s Landspeeder™ building sets. Fans can display the X-wing model with wings open or closed and enjoy the included Luke Skywalker and R2-D2™ astromech droid minifigures, as well as a display plaque with X-wing technical details.

Henrik Andersen, LEGO Design Master, expressed his excitement about the new design, stating, “This is the most detailed X-wing Starfighter we have ever created, and I am thrilled with the final design. The larger scale allowed us to include intricate details like thrusters, the cockpit, and wings. We can’t wait for fans to experience it.”

The new LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series X-wing Starfighter set will be exclusively available for LEGO VIP members on LEGO.com/star-wars and in LEGO Stores from May 1st at €/$239.99 £209.99, and for everyone from May 4th.

The set will also be displayed at the Star Wars Celebration event in London from April 7th – 10th, 2023, at the LEGO booth.

Attendees can also purchase the new LEGO Star Wars™ Brickheadz Battle of Endor building set (40623), featuring Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Lando Calrissian, an Ewok, and Princess Leia-inspired figures, before its general release.
