Celebrating Disney’s 100th Anniversary with LEGO® BrickHeadz
To mark Disney’s 100th anniversary, LEGO® has released the 40622 Disney 100th Celebration BrickHeadz set, featuring four legendary characters: Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Mickey Mouse, Snow White, and Tinker Bell. This set is a must-have for Disney and LEGO® fans, but how well does it capture the essence of these timeless figures?

A Closer Look at Each Character
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit
Oswald the Lucky Rabbit was Walt Disney’s first creation, debuting in 1927. While the BrickHeadz version includes blue shorts, it would have been more fitting to keep it black and white to reflect its original appearance. The design is simple but recognizable, making it a great addition for collectors.
Mickey Mouse
Mickey Mouse, who debuted in 1928 in Steamboat Willie, is arguably Disney’s most iconic character. The BrickHeadz version uses monochromatic tones, staying true to its classic look. However, LEGO®’s claim that Mickey is the "first animated character ever" is incorrect, as Oswald predates him. The design remains similar to the previous 41624 Mickey Mouse BrickHeadz, but it’s still a charming representation.
Snow White
Snow White, the star of Disney’s first feature film, brings a burst of color to the set. Her light blue and yellow dress is faithfully recreated, and the printed details on her torso and shoulders add depth. The red hair ribbon is a nice touch, making this one of the most detailed BrickHeadz in the set.
Tinker Bell
Tinker Bell stands out with her lime green dress and translucent wing pieces, which cleverly double as leaf-like decorations. The hair design is also well-executed, making this the most visually interesting figure in the collection.

Design Choices and Baseplate Controversy
All four BrickHeadz come with a 6x6 silver baseplate, replacing the usual black. While the silver adds a celebratory feel, it might have been better to include character names or debut years on the baseplates for a more personalized touch.
Pieces and Pricing
The set includes 501 pieces and is priced at €39.99 / $39.99 / £39.99 / AUD 65 / DKK 300 / SEK 450 / PLN 170 / BRL 210, which is fair, considering each BrickHeadz typically retails for €9.99. LEGO® didn’t inflate the price despite the Disney licensing, making it a great value for fans.
