The LEGO® Ideas community has spoken, and they want more modular buildings with a Japanese twist! The Tekeshi Townhouse, created by talented fan designer ModularManiacFan, just crossed the magical 10,000 supporter threshold and earned its ticket to the official LEGO® review stage.

This charming Japanese-style townhouse brings a slice of serenity to the bustling world of Bricksburg. The build showcases traditional oriental architecture complete with beautiful sakura details that would make any AFOL's modular street display shine. What makes this project particularly clever? The designer has crafted a peaceful residential retreat that contrasts beautifully with the chaotic energy of a busy shopping district.

Inside the three-story structure, you'll discover newlyweds Bret and Marie navigating their fresh start together. The ground floor features thoughtfully placed moving boxes (because who among us hasn't lived that reality?), while a ladder leads to the second level's cozy living space and kitchen. The top floor bedroom captures that lived-in feeling we all recognize, complete with odds and ends scattered about.

The attention to cultural details really sets this project apart from typical modular builds. The oriental architecture elements blend seamlessly with modern LEGO® building techniques, creating something that feels both authentic and distinctly brick-built. Could this become the first official Japanese-inspired addition to the modular building collection?

With its journey to 10K supporters complete, the Tekeshi Townhouse now faces the official LEGO® review process. Will the design team see the same potential that thousands of fans have already embraced?
