Gold has never looked this good in plastic. The LEGO Group and Vienna's Belvedere Museum have revealed LEGO® Art Gustav Klimt - The Kiss, a 4,000-piece set that stands as the largest LEGO® Art release ever. From 1 August 2026, builders aged 18 and up can finally get their hands on it.

Gustav Klimt's The Kiss is one of the most recognisable paintings in the world, and now it gets the studs-and-tubes treatment. The set leans on golden LEGO elements, layered textures and specially decorated pieces to capture the shimmering surface of the original canvas, right down to the spiral patterns and circular motifs that made the Vienna Secession movement so distinctive. Master Designer Milan Madge worked directly with the Belvedere Museum, home of the original painting, and sums up the challenge like this: capturing rich textures, golden tones and intricate details without ever losing the spirit of the original work.

Belvedere curator Stephanie Auer also joined the process, talking through Klimt's symbolism, ornamentation and techniques with Madge, and how the flatness and composition could survive the leap into LEGO bricks.

The collaboration between the two gets its own spotlight on 1 August, when a podcast episode featuring both lands on LEGO.com, Spotify and YouTube. Once the pieces are in hand, the LEGO Builder app steps in with interactive 3D instructions, letting you track your progress without losing your place halfway through a wall of golden tiles.
