The March sisters have found a home in bricks, and it is every bit as warm as the book. Designer Iyan ha has brought Little Women to LEGO® Ideas with a 3,257-piece model of Orchard House, the real Massachusetts home where author Louisa May Alcott wrote her beloved 1868 classic. Six minifigures move in, the vines climb the roof, and yes, there are secrets tucked inside. Curious what you will find? Keep reading.

Let's talk about that roof, because it is a genuinely clever touch. Iyan ha built it in dark red as a tribute to the cover of the novel's first edition, so the top of the house literally becomes the book's cover. The real Orchard House wears darker colors, but here the whole build swaps to warmer tones for that lived-in, family-home feeling. Meg's orange tree grows out back, Jo's sunflowers stand on the right, and Amy's morning glories twist across the roofline in white and yellow blossoms.

Open it up and the storytelling keeps going. The second-floor shared room holds Meg's wardrobe, Jo's bookshelf, and Amy's pickled limes (a detail only true fans of the novel will grin at). Jo's attic studio comes complete with her reading apple and a tiny mouse named Scrabble, while Beth's gifted piano and cherished dolls fill the living room. There is even the mailbox Laurie gave the sisters and the skates that patched up Jo and Amy's famous falling-out.

Here is my favorite part, and it is one you can hunt for yourself. Four small dark-blue printed tiles are hidden throughout the build, standing in for the little books Marmee gives each daughter. Can you spot all four? That kind of quiet, rewarding detail is exactly what makes a display model worth living with.

With 1,659 supporters so far, Little Women is climbing toward the 10,000 it needs to reach the review stage. If a peaceful, brick-built New England home speaks to the reader in you, head over and back Iyan ha on LEGO® Ideas. Shall we help the March sisters get the set they deserve?
