Get ready to have that infectious tune stuck in your head all day! The Mahna Mahna LEGO® Ideas project has officially hit the magical 10,000 supporter milestone and entered the review stage, bringing us one step closer to a brick-built version of one of The Muppet Show's most memorable musical moments.

Creator JPHansen has crafted something truly special with this submission, capturing the chaotic charm of the classic 1976 sketch. The build features the shaggy-haired Mahna Mahna himself alongside those pink, bewildered Snowths providing their signature "doo-doo-de-do-do" backing vocals. Even Kermit the Frog makes an appearance, complete with his eternally exasperated expression as he brings that backstage telephone to interrupt the performance.
What makes this project shine brighter than stage lights? JPHansen has been refining the design throughout the campaign, adding thoughtful details like an orange claw piece to make Mahna Mahna's hair look properly wild. The creator even proposed including a sound brick that would play various Snowth vocals and Mahna Mahna's iconic singing, plus Kermit's frustrated "It's for you!" when he brings that phone over.

The attention to detail extends beyond the minifigures themselves. This isn't just a static display piece, JPHansen envisions potential for motion and dancing through a crank mechanism, bringing the musical chaos to life on your shelf. The improved Kermit design features a new head construction and cloth collar frill, while Mahna Mahna has received subtle tweaks to perfect his look.

This project celebrates Jim Henson's creative genius and taps into that wonderful nostalgia for classic television moments. Whether you remember watching The Muppet Show as a kid or discovered this earworm through YouTube clips, there's something undeniably delightful about the idea of building this scene in LEGO® bricks.

Now comes the waiting game as The LEGO Review Board decides whether this musical mayhem will become an official set. With JPHansen's other Muppet-themed submissions like Beaker and Pigs in Space also gaining attention, it seems AFOL builders are hungry for more Henson-inspired builds.
