Forest spirits and cat buses have captured 10,000 hearts! My Neighbor Totoro by TrumanBricks celebrates Studio Ghibli's 41th anniversary with a brilliant collection of brick-built characters that would make Hayao Miyazaki smile. This isn't just another movie tie-in (though what a movie!) , it's a love letter to childhood wonder wrapped in LEGO® form.
The build centers on three fantastic Totoro figures: the iconic gray Totoro standing twice the height of a minifigure, plus the smaller Chu and Chibi versions in blue and white. TrumanBricks used Wolverine claws for whiskers (how clever is that?) and built the chest pattern from bricks instead of relying on printed pieces. The magical Cat Bus steals the show with posable legs, removable roof sections, and interchangeable destination panels , you can practically hear it purring through the forest!
This project marks TrumanBricks' second attempt at bringing My Neighbor Totoro to life, their 2019 version also hit 10,000 supporters, proving this concept has serious staying power. At 1,378 pieces, the set includes Satsuki and Mei minifigures, the iconic bus stop scene, and that perfect tree diorama where childhood dreams take root.

Now comes the big question: will LEGO® give Studio Ghibli fans the forest adventure they've been waiting four decades for? The design captures everything magical about Miyazaki's masterpiece , from rainy bus stops to tree-top adventures. Sometimes the most wonderful LEGO® sets are the ones that help us remember what it felt like to believe in magic.
