A wish from a little sister turned into a brick-built love letter to Sanrio. Meet Pochacco & Pi-Chans, a LEGO® Ideas project from builder ThirdFoundation that brings one of Sanrio's cheeriest pups into the world of studs and slopes. Have you ever wondered why Sanrio's beloved characters still have not made an official LEGO® debut? So did the designer's sister, and now there is a plan to fix that.

The star here is Pochacco, that snowy-white puppy with the round cheeks and gentle grin. Capturing a curvy cartoon face in a system built from rectangular bricks is no small feat, and this is where the build really shines. Curved slopes and clever angled parts sculpt those chubby cheeks into genuine 3D, while pitch-black eyes and a soft little mouth land the innocent charm perfectly. His red t-shirt and crisp white collar sit with a great sense of volume, right down to the stubby legs and paws.

Then come the play points, and there are lovely ones. Posable joints in the neck, ears, and arms let you strike whatever pose suits your mood (grumpy Monday Pochacco, anyone?). A display stand adds street trees and a cozy bench, plus there is a charming banana ice cream shop crowned by an enormous banana sculpture. Hunting for Pochacco's three chick friends, Piyo, Piko, and Peepu, is half the fun. Can you spot all three?

There is even a secret Easter egg tucked near the ice cream shop that only true Pochacco devotees will recognise. The designer keeps the details close, so grab your magnifying glass and study those images.

What began as a personal gift has grown into a bid for official store shelves. Pochacco & Pi-Chans currently has 815 supporters on its road to the 10,000 needed for a LEGO® review.
