A bakery that doubles as a giant kitchen appliance? That is the delicious idea behind Toaster Bakery, a LEGO® Ideas project from designer TP workshop. View it from the front and you see a charming light blue shop. Peek around the back and, well, it is a toaster! This clever two-floor build uses more than 2,000 pieces and has already reached the full 10,000 supporters, which means it is now in the hands of the LEGO® review team.

Here is where the design really pops. The rear of the building recreates a full-size toaster in convincing proportion, complete with a power adjustment knob, a timing knob, four function buttons, and an electronic display screen. Look closer and you will spot a heat dissipation port along the bottom, a side lever, a breadcrumb tray, and the all-important toast heating slot. It is all decorative, of course (this is a bakery, not breakfast), but what a clever way to hide a kitchen appliance in plain sight.

Step inside and the two floors give you plenty to explore. The ground floor is the dessert sales area, where sliding entrance doors open onto bread tongs and trays waiting on both sides. The upper floor holds the baking kitchen and a cosy lounge with a sofa and a long stool, plus a glass window so you can watch the pastry chef at work. Would you grab a seat upstairs or take your treats to go?

TP workshop also packed in 8 minifigures, a mix of shop assistants, chefs, and hungry customers, along with loads of tiny details tucked around the studio. The whole thing was inspired by an old furniture store the designer used to visit, which explains the warm, lived-in charm.

With Toaster Bakery already at 10,000 supporters and under official review, all we can do now is cross our fingers and wait. Could this be the tastiest addition your LEGO® City has ever popped up? Time to butter up and hope for good news!
