K-Pop Demon Hunters Hits 10K Votes and Enters LEGO Review

Netflix struck gold with K-Pop Demon Hunters, an animated film that fuses amazing songs with Korean legends, and now the LEGO® K-Pop Demon Hunters: The Tiger and the Three-Eyed Crow project by Aggravator has officially reached 10,000 votes, securing a spot in the LEGO Ideas review phase.

The film’s appeal was simple and potent: K-pop idols by day, demon hunters by night. It mixed an animation style of Into the Spider-Verse, hit songs, and centuries-old mythology into a kinetic visual feat. The LEGO project captures that contrast perfectly, turning two mythical creatures, the blue tiger and a three-eyed crow, into sculptural showpieces.

A Message Between Worlds

The original tiger, inspired by thematic Korea’s minhwa (Korean Folk art), that depicts magpies and tigers. The tiger, nicknamed 'idiot tiger', is often represented in ridiculous features (large eyes, big mouth), represents authority and the aristocratic yangban, while the dignified magpie represents the common man.

In K-Pop Demon Hunters, the blue tiger also has an humorous character, depicted with the same exagerated features with a small folded note reading “Hello friend.” reference the movies

The tiger’s curves and icy palette convey protection and mystery, while the three-eyed crow serves as a counterpart, symbol of divine knowledge and the sun. Together, they mirror the film’s theme of balance: ancient myth reborn through neon light. The design evokes the same layered artistry seen in the LEGO® Monkie Kid 80044 Monkie Kid’s Team Hideout, where myth meets movement.

Beyond the Screen

What makes this project stand out isn’t just its movie tie-in. It’s how it brings Korean folklore into LEGO form without compromise. While with some creative license, it's all grounded in cultural authenticity yet told through the universal language of play.

It’s rare to see LEGO Ideas projects that channel East Asian mythology so directly. If approved, this could mark a milestone, a set that bridges Netflix animation, pop culture, and heritage storytelling.

Until LEGO’s decision arrives in mid-2026, fans can imagine the blue tiger prowling beside the crow under a neon sky, waiting for their cue. Because if myth has rhythm, this one is dancing right to the top of the stage.
