Grab your green hood and your best archery grin, because the Forestmen are marching back into the spotlight. Forestmen Outpost, a woodland build from designer Post Scriptum, has reached the full 10,000 supporters on LEGO® Ideas and now sits in official review. For fans who grew up with these Robin Hood-inspired outlaws, this is the kind of nostalgic treat that makes you want to dig out your old minifigures.

The model centres on a small stone outpost tucked in front of a towering tree, and every corner rewards a closer look. Climb the interior and you will find a gear-swapping stand, a cosy writing room with a candle-lit desk, and a ladder leading up to a top floor lit by four torches. A working telescope pokes right through the upper window (perfect for spotting approaching knights, or just admiring the view). The exterior wears the Forestmen coat of arms with pride.

Here is the clever bit that any longtime builder will appreciate. Post Scriptum kept the trees in their original black colour, the same shade LEGO® used for wooden features back in the day, and carried that palette across the whole scene. Little touches bring the woodland alive: a campfire beside a wood-cutting stump, a well, a patch of pumpkins, wild fungi, rabbits hopping through the grass, and squirrels and birds nesting in the branches. What secret would your Forestmen hide in a den like this?

The designer built the Forestmen Outpost not as a copy of any old set, but as a loving throwback to the theme as a whole. The timing feels right, too, after LEGO® reintroduced classic Forestmen characters in the 2022 Lion Knights' Castle and the Forest Hideout gift-with-purchase.

With the full 10,000 supporters secured, the Forestmen Outpost now waits for the LEGO® review board's verdict. Could these merry outlaws finally shoot their way back onto shelves? Keep your fingers crossed and your quiver full.
