Visitors to LEGOLAND® went absolutely pumpkin-wild this October. Guests built 9,290 LEGO® pumpkins in the park's Pumpkin Gallery, a brand new record and a seriously impressive patch of plastic produce. (Yes, somebody counted every single one.)

That total beats last year's haul by 2,426 pumpkins, and last year was already a record. Every pumpkin was built by a guest at the Pumpkin Gallery building activity, then placed on the big pumpkin field right in the middle of the park. Picture thousands of brick-built gourds glowing together. Could you have resisted adding your own?

The pumpkin boom rode a wave of Halloween visitors at LEGOLAND® in Billund. "It is a fantastic result, but it does not surprise me that even more pumpkins were built this year," said Michael Ottesen, director at LEGOLAND®. "Not since before the coronavirus pandemic have we had this many visitors in October, and they were clearly in a building mood."

Brick or Treat and a Spooktacular Month

The park dressed up October with longer opening hours, rides in the dark, and fireworks. Kids roamed between stalls collecting little surprises in their Brick or Treat bags, a sweet twist on trick-or-treating where the goodies are made of, well, you know.

Danish guests turned out in force, up 30 percent compared with last October according to Ottesen. LEGOLAND® has now closed the books on Halloween and reopens for Christmas on 28 November. Start sharpening your building skills now, because next year's pumpkin record is already waiting to be smashed.
