The kingdom of Hallownest just got a whole lot more brick-built. Designer PingouinRainbowDash has poured 2,099 pieces into Hollow Knight: A Journey to Hallownest, a modular love letter to the beloved 2017 indie game, and it has now reached the full 10,000 supporters on LEGO® Ideas. Fans of the moody, poetic metroidvania have spoken, and they want their bugs in studs.

What makes this project sing is its modular design. Four regions of Hallownest come to life as separate modules you can display together or apart, whichever suits your shelf. Dirtmouth (414 pieces) captures the game's starting village, complete with its iconic bench, lamppost, and the well that drops you into the depths. Forgotten Crossroads (535 pieces) delivers that eerie, abandoned-yet-not-quite feeling, and yes, the question mark is doing a lot of work there.

Then things get colorful. Greenpath (627 pieces) blooms with lush green, the deadly-beautiful home of your favourite frenemy, Hornet. Crystal Peak (523 pieces) sparkles as an abandoned mine where that coveted energy crystal forms. Choosing these four regions for their instantly recognizable looks was a clever move, and the splashes of color prove how much personality a good palette can build into a scene. Ever wondered how you would translate a shimmering crystal cavern into plastic? PingouinRainbowDash figured it out.

The minifigures shown are illustrative, meant to give you a sense of scale and spark ideas for custom heads. The lower regions even hide a structure sturdy enough to support extra scenes, a thoughtful nod to modders who want to expand the town. Connoisseurs will notice the City of Tears is missing, but the designer hints that such rich architecture might earn its own bigger set someday.

With Hollow Knight: Silksong finally arriving, the timing feels just right. This one has cleared the finish line and now waits for the LEGO® review board. Ready to descend into Hallownest, one brick at a time?
