Ever wanted to build an album cover? One builder just did, and it worked. Ultraviolence - Lana Del Rey has reached the full 10,000 supporters on LEGO® Ideas, sending designer ErfinderEdlerBenny's moody diorama straight into the official review stage. It celebrates Lana Del Rey's third studio album, and it does so almost entirely in black, white, and grey.

The diorama puts the Ultraviolence album cover front and centre, backed by a brick-built cityscape lifted from the artwork inside the vinyl sleeve (a lovely deep cut for fans who own the record). Look left and you will spot a scene from the Ultraviolence music video, complete with a figure in a white dress and veil. Look right and you get "West Coast", represented by the ocean, rolling hills, and a Ferris wheel. Every corner rewards a closer look.

The colour choice is the boldest move here. Building an entire model in near-monochrome takes nerve, because colour usually does so much of the heavy lifting in a LEGO® scene. ErfinderEdlerBenny leans into the album's black-and-white aesthetic instead, and the restraint gives the whole thing a hushed, cinematic mood. Who knew grey bricks could set an atmosphere?

The designer has listened to Lana Del Rey for years and wanted to capture the era and feeling around the record, not just copy a photo. That love shows in the hidden references tucked throughout, the kind you only catch if you know the songs by heart.

With 10,000 supporters gathered and 512 comments cheering it on, the project now waits for the LEGO® review team's verdict. Fancy discovering every reference for yourself? Follow ErfinderEdlerBenny to the project page and see how a whole album fits into bricks.
