LEGOLAND Windsor Builds England Women Rugby Squad in LEGO® Miniland Scene

When the England Women’s Rugby squad runs onto the field, they’ll now have a miniature counterpart already scoring tries at LEGOLAND® Windsor. Model makers used 1,088 LEGO® bricks to craft a vibrant new display inside the Resort’s Miniland attraction, giving fans a chance to see rugby glory in brick form.

Meet the Brick-Built Squad

The scene features captain Zoe Aldcroft standing tall, Ellie Kildunne in her try-scoring stride, and Sadia Kabeya powering through defenders. At 9 centimeters high, the figures may be small, but every player proudly carries the iconic red rose jersey. It took model makers 41 hours to construct the 32-strong squad, ensuring every detail felt match-ready.

Rugby, LEGO®, and Representation

Daniel Brown, the Model Maker who led the project, described it as a "team effort" built to inspire. His hope: that seeing the Red Roses in LEGO® form will encourage young girls to give rugby a try. It’s a build that bridges play and sport, plastic and passion. A chiasmus in miniature: sport inspires LEGO®, LEGO® inspires sport.

Staying on Display

Win or lose against Canada in the Women’s Rugby World Cup Final, the Red Roses’ LEGO® tribute isn’t going anywhere just yet. The display will remain in Miniland throughout October, standing as a reminder of the team’s historic run. Visitors can catch the scene with regular park admission, which starts at £34 / €39 / $41 / AUD 62 / DKK 291 / SEK 454 / PLN 178 / BRL 233 per person. Children under 90cm enter free.
