E.T. is coming home, and this time he arrives in 1,226 pieces. LEGO® has revealed 21370 E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, a buildable model of the beloved alien from the 1982 Steven Spielberg film. It lands on 1 August 2026, exclusive to LEGO.com and LEGO® Stores, with pre-orders open right now.

This wrinkly, lanky little visitor stands 24.5 cm (9.5 in.) tall, so he scales nicely beside LEGO®'s other buildable characters. The sculpting captures every crease and that famous long-necked posture, a genuinely clever feat of brick shaping. You can tilt his head up and down, spin it a full 360 degrees, and point that iconic forefinger to phone home (go on, you know you want to).

The best detail? A red light brick tucked inside. Press the switch and E.T.'s heart glows warm and red, the kind of fantastic touch that turns a display piece into a conversation starter. How many other LEGO® builds can literally light up your feelings?

The set comes from LEGO® Ideas designer Lafabrick, and the finished model has traveled a long way from the original fan submission. Here is what E.T. costs around the world: US$139.99, AU$229.99, £119.99, €129.99, CAD$199.99 and SGD$199.90.

Original LEGO Ideas Project Design

E.T. joins a warm streak of nostalgic LEGO® Ideas builds, following 21361 Gremlins: Gizmo and 21368 Peanuts: Snoopy's Doghouse. If you grew up glued to the screen in the 80s (or you are shopping for a parent who did), this one practically gift-wraps itself. Ready to bring the extra-terrestrial to your shelf?
