Every builder owns one. The humble orange brick separator rescues your fingernails, your patience, and that one tile wedged too deep to pry loose. Now BrickAviator has given the unsung hero its own statue. The LEGO® Separator - Large-Scale Tribute has reached the full 10,000 supporters on LEGO® Ideas, and it is now waiting in the review queue.

The idea is simple and a little bit cheeky. Take the tool nobody frames on a shelf, blow it up to centerpiece scale, and let every curve, groove, and wedge tip do the talking. From across the room you would know it instantly. Step closer and you start spotting the cleverness, because recreating a smooth, injection-molded shape out of angular bricks is no small feat.

So how do you fake those fluid curves? SNOT techniques, naturally. BrickAviator leaned hard on Studs Not On Top building, bracket layering, and modified plates to coax soft contours out of a famously rectangular toy. The forked head and wedge tip got special attention, since those are the details that give the separator its personality (and its prying power). An internal Technic spine keeps the whole thing light but sturdy, and it breaks into sub-sections so you can actually carry it to an event.

The color story stays faithful too. Classic bright orange forms the body, with sparing hits of dark orange and flame yellowish orange adding depth. The model stands upright on a matte black tiled base, angled back like a gallery piece, with the handle reaching outward as if offering to help with your next stuck brick.

Having crossed 10,000 supporters, this tribute now faces the LEGO® Ideas review board alongside other fan dreams. Will the tool that saves every build finally get saved as a set? Keep an eye on BrickAviator's page and find out which way this one gets pried.
