The Men of Letters Bunker has found its 10,000th champion. LEE40 built a brick-based version of the secret base from Supernatural, and the Supernatural: The Bunker (Interior) project has now reached the full 10,000 supporters on LEGO® Ideas. That means it heads into review, where LEGO® decides whether Sam and Dean Winchester get their own fantastic plastic hideout.

For anyone who missed the show, the Bunker was the hidden headquarters of the Men of Letters, tucked away in Lebanon, Kansas (the geographic center of the USA, and yes, that detail matters to the story). It could only be opened with a special key, one the Winchester brothers picked up back in Season 8. The show called it the safest place on earth, warded against any evil ever created. Sounds like a solid spot to display your minifigures, right?

The build weighs in at a hefty 5,000 pieces, which is exactly the kind of scale that lets a designer pack in every artifact-lined shelf and war-room table. LEE40 has hauled this model to LEGO® shows and Comic Cons across the UK, and the reaction from fellow fans has been brilliant. Ever wonder how many hunting weapons you can construct from a few thousand studs? This build has some ideas.

The wishlist of minifigures reads like a family reunion: Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester, Castiel, Charlie, Jack, Crowley, Chuck, and Rowena. That is a lineup with enough drama to fill a full display shelf, and plenty of scenes to recreate.

The story goes that LEE40 started building during a binge-rewatch, with LEGO® bricks already scattered nearby. The Bunker became the crowning piece. With Supernatural being a fresh IP for LEGO® Ideas and the new higher piece limit, the timing lined up nicely. The Winchesters, much like LEGO®, are all about family business, so who else deserves a spot in this awesome bunker crew?
