One fan-favourite project just pulled a disappearing act. Dean's Baby, a LEGO® Ideas tribute to the 1967 Chevrolet Impala from Supernatural, has been quietly removed from the Second 2026 Review Stage. The build, submitted by fan designer SamSamSamy, was one of the projects hoping to become a real set. Now its page reads like it was never there at all.
What happened? The LEGO® Group rarely explains why a project vanishes mid-review, and this time is no exception, but the designer behind it believes he's spotted the common thread. According to SamSamSamy, Dean's Baby wasn't the only casualty. He says four of his Supernatural projects were pulled at once, and the single detail they all shared was a pentagram.
The scale of the sweep makes it sting all the more. By his account, one of the four had already won its review, another had climbed to 9,000 supporters, a third sat at 7,000, and the last at 1,200 builds submitted at different points across the past two years, each one having already cleared the review phase. Tallied up, that's roughly 27,000 votes gone overnight, along with every hour spent designing and campaigning for them. He says LEGO® Ideas offered no explanation and never answered his enquiry, just four emails confirming the removals.
Reaching a review stage is a genuine achievement for any builder. A project needs the full 10,000 supporters just to earn a seat at the table, and only a handful make it that far in each round. Getting pulled after crossing that line - four times over - is the kind of plot twist even the Supernatural writers might hesitate to script.
So where does that leave the designer? Somewhere between giving up and starting over. He's weighing whether to resubmit the Impala with the pentagram stripped out, knowing that means chasing 10,000 supporters all over again from zero. SamSamSamy says he built these out of pure love for LEGO® and Supernatural, and he's hoping fans will rally behind Baby a second time if she ever rolls back onto the platform.

The fandom isn't out of gas altogether, though. LEE40's 5,000-piece Men of Letters Bunker - a separate builder's project - recently hit its own 10,000-supporter milestone and rolled into review, proof there's still plenty of Supernatural road left to travel.
Removals like this remind every hopeful designer why the fine print, on licensing, symbols, and content, matters as much as the building itself. You can craft a picture-perfect Impala, nail every chrome bumper detail, and still hit a wall the bricks cannot solve. So keep dreaming up your own road-trip rides, fellow builders.
