A corner flower shop, an upstairs photo studio, and an angel-topped fountain have carried The Fountain Place all the way to 10,000 supporters on LEGO® Ideas. Designer Santheg built a modular street scene bursting with tiny stories, and the LEGO® review team now has it in their hands. Who knew a fountain could make such a splash?

The build packs 2,968 pieces across 675 lots in 59 colours, so there is plenty here to keep your fingers happy. At the heart of it sits a small fountain crowned by Armor, the angel of love (naming rights, apparently, still under debate among the townsfolk). The corner building holds "The Potted Brick", a flower shop that greets you with rows of brick-built blooms, while "Stone's Throw Photography" occupies the upper floor out back, where the owner is busy snapping the fountain, his favourite subject.

What makes this one sing is the cast of characters milling about. Granny and old Jack are out for a stroll when they bump into Julien the clown, who is handing out flyers for the circus in town. A young shopper hunts for the perfect bouquet, and the shop's delivery van rolls past loaded with a pallet of three rare exotic flowers. It's a whole neighbourhood caught mid-moment.

Santheg says the project began with a single wish, to build a modular flower shop, after a few other ideas fizzled out. Rather than chase techniques beyond his comfort zone, he leaned into what he loves best, modular buildings and their matching vehicles. That honesty shows in the finished model, and the van proves that a good modular deserves a good ride to go with it.

With a corner design that connects to other buildings and a few advanced building techniques tucked inside, The Fountain Place would slot into any LEGO® town with ease. It has already reached the full 10,000 supporters and now waits on the official review. Fancy a wander through a street where the flowers never wilt?
