Ten thousand supporters said "I love you" back. The Sign of ILY, a LEGO® Ideas project by deaf builder and sign language user Bricks.JulieCoyer, has crossed the 10,000-supporter milestone and earned its place in the review phase. The design features four hand poses in multiple skin tones, each one spelling out the ILY sign, the beloved American Sign Language gesture that rolls "I Love You" into a single, unmistakable hand position.

What makes this project click (apart from the obvious) is how much thought Bricks.JulieCoyer packed into every colour choice. The dark blue, yellow, and turquoise palette reproduces the Sign Union Flag, adopted on July 9, 2023, as the international flag of the deaf community. Dark blue stands for conscience and brotherhood within Deafhood, turquoise for the pride and linguistic power of sign language itself, and yellow for enlightenment and hope. Those are not random colours slapped onto a build; they carry real meaning for millions of people worldwide.

The four hand pieces work as wall-mounted art or sit on an included stand, and you can arrange them however feels right for your space. Bricks.JulieCoyer brought her own lived experience as a deaf sign language user to every decision, making this one of those brilliant Ideas submissions where you can genuinely feel the creator's connection to the subject. No gimmicks. No borrowed aesthetics. Just a clear personal story told through colourful bricks.

Will LEGO® give it the green light? With 10,000 passionate backers already on board, The Sign of ILY has done the hard part. Go show it some love on the LEGO® Ideas page (you already know the hand sign for that).
