Won't you be my neighbor? A new Mister Rogers' Neighborhood: A Journey to Make-Believe project has arrived on LEGO® Ideas, and it invites you straight into the cardigan-wearing world of Fred Rogers. Built by JJTheOfficeGuy, this 2,541-piece design captures both the cozy television home and the whimsical Neighborhood of Make-Believe in one clever package. It currently sits at 1,444 supporters and climbing.

Here is the part that made me grin like a kid at snack time: the whole model is two-sided. One face gives you the living room, complete with a closet full of Fred's iconic sweaters, his sneakers to swap on, a kitchen with fish to feed, and recreations of the art that hung on his walls. Rotate it a full 180 degrees and you travel to a bright, grassy landscape where imagination runs the show. (Have you ever wanted to live in a build that has two personalities? Now you can.)

The Red Trolley steals the scene with a hidden track that lets it glide from the living room, right through the wall, and into the Land of Make-Believe. That is a genuinely smart bit of building, and it is exactly the kind of engineering trick that makes you want to reverse-engineer it yourself. The "Picture Picture" screen uses a swappable 4x4 tile system so you can display different lessons or a friendly greeting, and the Make-Believe side is fully modular, letting you rearrange King Friday's Castle, the Great Oak Tree, the Museum-Go-Round, and Daniel Striped Tiger's Clock however your story needs.

The neighborhood cast comes along too. You get minifigures of Fred Rogers (with swappable sweaters, naturally), Officer François Clemmons, Mr. McFeely, and Lady Aberlin, plus brick-built friends King Friday XIII, Daniel Striped Tiger, X the Owl, Henrietta Pussycat, and the Platypus family.

Designer JJTheOfficeGuy calls it a tribute to a lifetime of kindness, and the project needs 10,000 supporters to reach the review stage. Whether you grew up with the show or want to share its message with a new generation of builders, this is your chance to help bring a slice of television history into the LEGO® family.
