The Technodrome has risen, and it wants to eat turtle soup for dinner. A new LEGO® Ideas project called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. The Technodrome celebrates the 40th anniversary of the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon with a rolling war machine, a souped-up Party Wagon, and (this is the important part) a pizza launcher that actually works. Designer Retro Brick Renders built the whole thing in Bricklink Studio 2.0, and it currently sits at 2,861 supporters.

Let us talk about that Technodrome, because it is a proper piece of engineering. Three tank treads carry an uncanny giant eye and five laser cannons, two of which mutant mooks Bebop and Rocksteady control from gunner seats inside. Then the whole sphere cracks open on kickstands and becomes a villain fortress. Have you ever seen a build unfold like a plastic flower of pure menace? Now you have.

Inside, the detail keeps coming. There is a Trans-Dimensional Portal at the back, a viewscreen showing Krang's favourite soap opera John and Marsha (a lovely deep cut), Shredder's command chair, Baxter Stockman's science lab, and a laser prison with breakaway bars for quick escapes. Krang's giant android body even stores inside when he is not stomping around, with swappable blaster and axe hands and a cavity in the stomach for the little brain himself.

The heroes get their due too. The Party Wagon seats two Turtles (shells and all), drops Wacko-Bombs from its side compartments, and fires pizza off the roof. The proposed set includes new minifigures of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo, April O'Neil, Shredder, Bebop, Rocksteady, Baxter Stockman, and a Krang figure, plus a box of disguises featuring a fedora, a musketeer hat, and a brown beard.The goal is 10,000 supporters, and every vote nudges this closer to a real box on a shelf.
