Grab a stake and a reference book, because the Scooby gang's favourite hangout has crossed the finish line. Buffy the Vampire Slayer Library, built by Bricktoria60839, has hit the full 10,000 supporters on LEGO® Ideas and now sits in official review. For fans of the late-1990s cult classic, that is very good news indeed.
The set recreates the dark wood interior of the Sunnydale High library, headquarters for Buffy and friends as they battled whatever demon crashed town each week. At the heart of it sits the central table where ancient tomes were pored over and where Willow fired up the dial-up modem to surf the early internet (remember that glorious screeching sound?). Weapons line the shelves, ready for slaying duty.

Six minifigures come along for the fight: Buffy, Giles, Willow, Angel, Xander, and the fan-favourite vampire Spike. Buffy wields a wand piece cleverly repurposed as her trusty stake, which is exactly the kind of parts-reuse trick that makes seasoned builders grin. Even better, Angel and Spike get reversible vampire heads, so you can flip them between brooding and fanged whenever the mood turns dark.

Here is where Bricktoria60839 really shows off. Tucked throughout the library are Easter eggs nodding to classic episodes: eggs from Bad Eggs, pom-poms from Witch, crystals from Helpless, a mask from Dead Man's Party, spiders from Choices, a rat from Gingerbread, and a floppy disc from Becoming Part 1. There are more hidden away too. How many can you spot?

The designer has been a fan since season one, and the library was one of their very first builds, refined many times before reaching the final five of the recent 1990s competition on LEGO® Ideas. With the Buffy the Vampire Slayer franchise heading for a reboot, the timing feels spot on. Now that this build has reached the Hellmouth of the review phase, what would you stock on your own Sunnydale shelves?
