Alea jacta est! The die is cast, and maybe, just maybe, this is the moment when LEGO history bends toward Gaulish greatness. KyriakosBuilder, a seasoned veteran in the LEGO Ideas arena, is making his third run for glory. Twice before, his clever creations reached the 10K milestone. This time, with Asterix & Obelix, hes betting that persistence, and a bit of druidic magic, will win the day.

After all, third times the charm (fingers firmly crossed) .
The Magic Potion of Determination
Reaching 10,000 votes once is rare. Doing it three times? Thats the stuff of legend. KyriakosBuilder, a lifelong fan of both LEGO bricks and Asterix & Obelix, has poured heart, humor, and historical detail into this design. Its a full Gaulish village brimming with minifigures, buildable huts, animals, and scenes straight from the bande dessine classics by Goscinny and Uderzo.

The timing couldnt be better. With the new album Asterix and Obelix in Lusitania soaring off shelves, public love for the worlds most famous Gauls is stronger than ever. KyriakosBuilders idea arrives like a Roman catapult strike, bold, timely, and impossible to ignore.
Building Like a True Gaul
This set captures the charm of Astrix le Gaulois (1959/61) and Le Combat des Chefs (1963) while nodding to the beloved films Asterix et la Surprise de Csar (1985) and Asterix & Oblix contre Csar (1999). The druid Panoramix searching for mistletoe, Astrix sneaking into Roman camps, and Obelix carrying a menhir.

The play features are as clever as a potion recipe. Hidden compartments in hay carts. Click-together Technic panels in the huts. Removable roofs for easy access. Even Idfix (Dogmatix) gets his moment, chasing frogs, guarding bones, and watching Oblix roasting a wild boar by the fire.

The builders attention to detail is astounding. From the Gaulish huts based on Albert Uderzos designs to the miniature bonfire ready for the next feast, the scene feels alive. As Asterix might say, Ils sont fous ces designers! (Those designers are crazy!)
Meet the Village (and Its Visitors)
The minifigure lineup is a feast for fans: Asterix, Obelix, Panoramix (Getafix), Assurancetourix, Falbala, Caius Bonus, Xynix, the Roman spy Bondus, and even Ctautomatix the blacksmith. Each figure has personality baked into its printing, thanks to friends Rolf Smit, Giorgio DAlbano, Peter de Smet, and Pter Szalay.

And because every good Gaulish tale needs some wildlife, youll find a buildable wild boar, a frog, owl, pig, chicken, bird, squirrel, rat, lobster, and two oxen for the merchants cart. Theyre tiny touches that make the village feel like it could spring to life at any moment (just add potion).
The Call to Rally the Gauls
With more than 8000 supporters and climbing, this project is marching toward that legendary 10K mark once again. Yet this time, the builder community is buzzing louder than ever. The combination of nostalgia, craftsmanship, and perfect timing might finally persuade LEGO to license the Asterix universe.

The hope? To see Asterix, Obelix, and their indomitable village become part of LEGOs official history. After all, if any duo can resist corporate Romans, its these two Gauls.
So sharpen your sickles, grab your baguette, and lend your vote. Together, we might just see a LEGO Asterix & Obelix set on shelves worldwide, worthy of a feast in honor of our favorite indomitable heroes.
