The force is strong with LEGO® this week, but it’s not Star Wars stealing the spotlight. In a move that’s got fans beaming with excitement, LEGO® just dropped a teaser for its very first Star Trek set. And yes, it’s everything you hoped for and more.
Captain Picard Minifigure: A First Look

The teaser, though brief, packs a punch. It zooms in on a tiny minifigure standing on a transporter pad, revealing none other than Captain Jean-Luc Picard in his signature red Starfleet uniform. The attention to detail is, as Spock would say, highly logical. The minifigure sports arm and back printing, a rarity that LEGO® fans will appreciate. The head is a new print, and if you squint, you might even see a bit of Professor X in there. Multitasking at its finest, LEGO® style.
For those of us who’ve dreamed of recreating the Enterprise-D bridge in brick form, this is a giant leap. The teaser doesn’t give away much else, but that glimpse of Picard is enough to send LEGO® Star Trek fans into warp speed.
Klingon for “Coming Soon”

The teaser ends with some Klingon text: TUGH PAW. For the uninitiated, that translates to “Coming Soon.” So, while we don’t have a release date yet, it’s clear that LEGO® is prepping something special. And if the minifigure is this detailed, imagine what the rest of the set might hold. A bridge? A shuttlecraft? A tribble or two? The LEGO® Star Trek possibilities are endless.
