Sunlight, dust, and a vintage biplane with a story to tell. That is the scene builder Enzo_Young has captured in Old Hangar, a 3,191-piece LEGO® Ideas project that has now hit the full 10,000 supporters and flown straight into the official review phase. Picture cracked wings, scattered tools, and a rusty tractor waiting patiently by the door. Can you already hear the propeller trying to turn over?

The build tells its story through two busy minifigures. One in overalls leans into the plane's engine, sleeves rolled up. The other, in a leather jacket, studies a map and keeps glancing at the aircraft with the kind of admiration only a true pilot understands. Little touches like this turn a display piece into a moment frozen in time, and you can almost smell the oil and old leather.

Now for the clever bits, because there are plenty. The hangar packs two full floors of detail into its 47 cm length. Downstairs you get a workbench, a separate plane engine, traffic cones, and gasoline drums. Upstairs there is a cabinet, a record player, tables and chairs, and a shelf of gleaming trophies. The enormous hangar door slides open and shut, and here is the trick that made me grin: the biplane's fuselage comes apart to reveal the components hidden inside. Enzo_Young published Old Hangar on March 18, 2025, and it gathered 273 comments alongside its 10,000 supporters. At 31.2 cm wide and 30.1 cm tall, it is a proper centrepiece for any shelf, and a lovely reminder that you can build atmosphere out of plastic bricks as easily as you build walls.
