Howdy, partners. A steam locomotive is barrelling toward a gold heist, and it wants your vote. Robbery on the Legoredo Express is a brick-built love letter to LEGO®'s classic Western theme, built by NarrowGaugeNut, and it fixes something that bugged fans for years: the original cowboy line never had a train. In the Wild West? How did they miss that one?

The centrepiece is a 4-4-0 American-type locomotive, the exact wood-burning workhorse you would have seen chuffing across the frontier in the 1870s. NarrowGaugeNut modelled it loosely after old Baldwin engines, and the result is an elegant beauty with polished brasswork and a tender lettered for the Legoredo Pacific Railroad (a name chosen, the builder admits, purely to sound fancy). Trailing behind sit a combine car and a passenger coach, both drawn straight from a real preserved wooden carriage: East Broad Top coach number 5, built in the 1870s and now living at Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. That green paint job? A tribute to Tweetsie too.

Here is where the play kicks in. Banker Mr. Goldpenny has trusted the railroad with a shipment of gold, sealed inside a vault in the baggage hold. The three-strong Thompson gang has other ideas, and a sneaky stick of dynamite. Sheriff Wyatt "Wild" West rides in on his horse Snowrose to stop them, backed by quick-reflexed Deputy Danny "The Cat" and axe-wielding Engineer Casey Jumperplate. Fun detail for longtime fans: gang leader Pete "Flatfoot" Thompson is a descendant of pirate Captain Redbeard himself.

The whole design nods to the beloved Pirates of Barracuda Bay approach, honouring a classic theme while stretching its story into fresh territory. NarrowGaugeNut grew up visiting that Wild West park in North Carolina, so this build carries a genuine spark of nostalgia in every stud.

Sitting at 1,342 supporters and climbing, Robbery on the Legoredo Express still needs plenty more folks to reach the 10,000 mark. Fancy giving the old Western theme the railroad it deserves? Then grab your ten-gallon hat and get on board. Next stop: Legoredo!
