String players and brick builders, take note. A new Violon project has landed on LEGO® Ideas, and it recreates one of music's most graceful instruments in 1,112 pieces. Designer Airbricks95 built a violin you can display on a shelf, curves, pegs, and all. Who knew you could tune a fiddle without a single wooden splinter?

The violin first appeared in Italy back in the 16th century, and this model chases every bit of that elegance. Look closely and you will spot the famous f-shaped sound holes carved into the body, plus a chinrest, four tuning pegs, and the tuning mechanisms up on the scroll. Those f-holes alone are a genuinely tricky bit of building (curves in LEGO® bricks never come easy), so nailing them in brick form is quietly impressive.

What sells the whole thing is the shape. A violin is all sweeping lines and rounded edges, the sort of form that fights against right-angled studs at every turn. Airbricks95 describes it as an enjoyable, immersive build that captures the charm of the real instrument, and the finished piece would look right at home beside a stack of sheet music or a record collection.

The idea grew from two passions colliding: music and LEGO® bricks, both of which pull people together through creativity. Airbricks95 reckons the model could win over musicians, collectors, and art lovers alike. So far the project has gathered 1,969 supporters and 66 comments on its way toward the 10,000 needed for the review stage.
